SEEKING: SENIOR GAME DESIGNER -Redwood City, CA
Trion Worlds is setting the standard for rapid, quality development of live content for its award-winning MMORPG, RIFT™. Our toolset, team structure, and milestone path is built entirely around creating features and content at a very high quality bar with exceptional speed. In the months since launch, we have released more free content to our users than many companies pack into an expansion.
And we’re just getting started.
We need people who live and breathe MMOs and who have enough experience and technical skill to help us define the path other MMOs will have to follow. We are growing the team and have multiple positions available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Staying true to the vision of RIFT, create stunning new gameplay features and content for the live game. We continually push the boundaries and need designers to drive that process.
- Implement dynamic content with outstanding tools
- Use your scripting talent to show players the story and then support that fiction with well-written quests
- Make the game better every single day
- Work well within small, skilled, fast-moving groups
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of game design experience including content design on at least one shipped MMO or RPG title
- Ability to script in a current-generation engine using 3D or visual scripting tools
- Ability to debug other designers’ scripting and repair flaws
- Proven ability to communicate ideas in a clear, understandable manner for both documentation and in-game text
