Trion Worlds is looking for a passionate and visionary Executive Producer to lead our next groundbreaking game. This person will be responsible for working with an external developer to help refine the vision for the game and motivate team leaders within art, design, audio, and engineering. They will consistently make informed decisions about the need to balance quality, budget, and schedule throughout the development cycle.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all aspects of this game’s third-party development efforts for Trion

Staff up and manage an internal Trion production team to guide and assist the developer

Manage production at both a strategic and tactical level

Motivate and inspire the team to greatness

Take a long-term view towards product development; ensure that the game is developed with an eye towards innovation, expansion, localization, and product-line extensions

Study appropriate genres, competition, and available talent to have insight into future scenarios

Make high-level decisions to ensure the project meets the quality, budgetary, and scheduling goals of the company

 Ensure that the franchise maintains creative and technical objectives that are aligned with consumer demand

Thoroughly review and analyze design docs, modifying to meet consumer demand and franchise plan goals

Use mature problem-solving skills to make recommendations and decisions that have a positive impact on the game development cycle

Communicate with team and direct all external partners to meet project deliverables and deadlines

Establish and assign task objectives from defined project goals

Perform regular due diligence and milestone reviews and guide the team in taking necessary action in all areas of production to ensure the integrity of the game

Be a primary check on the quality of the game

Generate and maintain budgets based on the project’s schedule and goals

Establish senior-level relationships with the publishing and operations groups

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to develop, communicate, and get buy-in on a strong product vision

Ability to spend prolonged periods of time on-site with the developer

Proven leadership ability including skills necessary to lead a remote team to execute at a high level of excellence on product development and form strong intercompany relationships

8-10 years of project development experience

5+ years of management experience with exceptional on-time and profitability history

Detail oriented with a strong history in contract negotiation and maintenance

Credit on two or more shipped titles in the role of Executive Producer on high-profile products

Must have a mastery-level knowledge of all aspects of game production (management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, localization, QA, etc.)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with the ability to communicate team and project goals in a clear, concise manner

Strong public speaker able to present equally well to the press, executives, and the Board

Capable of identifying risks and taking appropriate steps to resolve difficulties, including changes to work methods, technologies, and project schedules

Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating, and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative, or technical nature

Highly organized, professional, and efficient with outstanding attention to detail
