Trion Worlds is seeking a German Editor who will be responsible for providing translation and editing for our projects. A successful candidate must be fluent in German and English.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Revise, edit, proofread, and prepare a wide variety of texts including in-game and voice scripts, manuals, press releases, web pages, and email responses
Ensure language and style quality standards are met
Advise on linguistic issues and ensure translation consistency
Translate as needed
Create, refine, compile, and maintain glossaries as required
Create and maintain style guide(s) for individual titles and departments

REQUIREMENTS

Excellent German and English translation skills
2-4 years of editing or translation experience in the video game industry
Excellent grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading skills
Acute attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work cooperatively and maintain quality under tight deadlines
Ability to maintain a heavy workload on an ongoing basis
Ability to communicate editorial changes constructively
Creative and able to take initiative working independently or within a team
Excellent organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Native fluency in German
Bachelor's degree in literature, translation, language studies/communication, related degree or equivalent interactive industry localization experience
