PRODUCER - LIVE for our DEFIANCE, game DEFIANCE™ is the first multi-platform shooter MMO that in a ground-breaking entertainment experience interconnects with a global television program on Syfy. The game combines the intense action of a console third-person shooter, with the persistence, scale, and customization of an MMO, while its TV counterpart exudes the scope, story, and drama of a classic sci-fi epic. Being developed for the PC, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, DEFIANCE unites the MMORPG and Shooter game genres across the most popular platforms.

We’re looking for outstanding talent to join us in creating Defiance™, a groundbreaking entertainment experience set on a transformed Earth 30 years in the future. Defiance combines a multiplatform shooter MMO game with a one-of-a-kind TV show tie-in on the Syfy network. Our tech is developed in-house, and our growing San Diego-based game team is excited to realize the full potential of this incredible concept. Play the game, watch the show, change the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the Executive Producer and the development team to deliver a AAA game
Develop and manage effective public alpha and beta campaigns
Manage the pipeline and lifecycle of testing feedback throughout various live phases
Coordinate with console owners to manage their unique patch and release processes
Own all aspects of quality with regard to the public-facing game including content release planning, customer communication, and more
Work closely with operations and publishing in support of alpha and beta and build effective relationships with each department
Work closely with community managers to best support the live community
Help ensure timely and accurate game asset development and milestone delivery
Provide insight on tracking and reporting mechanisms
Evaluate production process and gameplay
Coordinate in-game store activity with other departments
Maintain a working knowledge of competitive shooter and MMO products

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of game project management experience
Credit on at least one shipped MMO or online title as Senior Producer or above
Experience maintaining an MMO or online live team as a Senior Producer or above post launch
Ability to model systems and reports with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and other management tools
Familiar with all aspects of game development
Excellent listening and communication skills with the ability to communicate developer and project goals in a clear, concise manner
Capable of identifying risks and offering appropriate steps to resolve difficulties including changes to work methods, technologies, and project schedules
Capable of running a meeting or conference call in a professional and productive manner
Highly organized, professional, and efficient
Availability to be on-call 24/7 as needed
