Austin based game-development studio is looking for a part time/ contract junior web artist from the Austin area to support our web-based marketing efforts and to help maintain and expand our game and community websites.
Responsibilities:
- Design new pages/selections for our current website, as well as themes for our wiki and forums.
- Create ads, banners, buttons, icons, badges, and header graphics for websites, emails, and social media.
- Design and implement HTML email templates.
- Ensure that all web-based marketing materials and site updates are clean, consistently styled, and high quality.
- Ensure that all sites function properly across multiple browsers and devices.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop and HTML/CSS.
- Experience in Adobe Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
- Strong graphic design sense/abilities.
- Technical understanding of crafting art and designs for the web and email.
- Ability to work within the overall direction established by the style guide, incorporating assets provided by the game development team.
- At least 2 years professional web design/development experience
Pluses:
- Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of CMS systems such as WordPress and Joomla.
- Experience in both web and print design.
