Microsoft Studios works closely with internal and external developers to bring high quality and innovative games to the Xbox 360, Kinect, Windows Phone 7, and PC platforms.

Microsoft Studios’ Kids and Lifestyles Entertainment (KALE) organization is looking for an experienced software development engineer (SDE) to join our team. This is a hands-on role working with game development teams to bring innovating game features & experiences to our lineup of first party published games.

Responsibilities
Integrate directly with product teams and assisting with feature development.
Developing game software and tools for both game projects and shared tech.
Building and reviewing production schedules for technical completeness.
Provide technical review and support on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ensuring projects pass certification and are published on time and at the highest quality.

Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience
Software design, programming, and debugging skills in C++ and C#.
Experienced with game optimization tools and techniques.
Able to reliably work on and track multiple projects at various stages of production.
Appreciation for Xbox 360 gaming and entertainment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and professional.

Bonus Experience:
Developed asset conditioning tools & pipelines.
Experience with common game engines.
Written and supported middleware for games
