Hello from the Burning Dog Team!

We are currently looking for some out of this world 3D Modeler, World Designers and  Animation talent. We want those unique individuals that want to express their creative vision and who are overly passionate about the projects they are involved with and are willing to put themselves out there!

Here’s a little about what we are looking for in you Moldelers/World Des.

• Proficiency with 3ds Max or Maya a must
• Good topology skills, understanding of low poly for use in animation a plus
• Experience with a sculpting & baking for maps pipeline
• UV layout skills, understanding of proper layout, reducing seams, maximizing space etc
• Although not required per se, ability to create textures with a fair level of skill a huge plus
• Zbrush and Photoshop always a plus

 Compensation:

 The compensation will be based on a revenue sharing model, we are looking for investors currently but the formula which we also provide signed agreements before you start is (Time in * Skill Rate = % of Shares that Burning Dog owns in the Origins Project). *Please see recent UPDATE*

Burning Dog Media is an emerging private Canadian company with proficiency in graphic design, software development, and professional services. Burning Dog is the proud Developer of the Origins of Malu MMO project.

Based out of Edmonton,  Canada, Burning Dog Media has engaged staff on several continents to participate in this world widel team collaboration. Having retained a staff of over 45+ (and growing!) for the development of Origins of Malu, with AAA game development and others with multinational corporate development, operational, and management experiences; everyone at Burning Dog Media is excited to compete at a new level with the introduction of this unique genre of gameplay that Origins of Malu will bring to the MMO world. It will be rich with innovative ideas for dynamic content and game mechanics.

Burning Dog is currently engaged in developing a sci fi/fantasy open world MMORPG called Origins. Straying from a traditional high fantasy genre MMORPG, Origins mixes Alien with Arcane, Exotic with Elemental, and Metaphysics with the Mysterious. While we have a solid product in the works for an independent release, there are many more features we hope to implement with full funding.

We have been lucky to attract talent from past AAA game development projects, while still bringing in fresh, unconventional people from outside the industry. With over a year using this crowd sourcing method, we’ve been developing this current title that delivers all the familiarity in an MMORPG that gamers expect with new innovation that players won't want to go without.

Don't these types of projects fail a lot of the time?

Indeed they do. Game development forums are full of new projects started by aspiring game developers. An overwhelming majority of them will never make it to the end of release, and those that do, will rarely make a return on investment.

This is due to some very simple reasons:

• Poor Management
• Junior Talent
• No Clear Vision
• No Team Dynamic
• No Development or Project Management Experience
• No Understanding of Scope
