    Hello! This was done for Character Design 1 class at Art Center College of Design, taught by the amazing duo Hong Ly and Kevin Chen. The assignment was to choose a Miyazaki movie and redesign it in a new location with a western animation style (anything from Dexter's Lab to Dreamworks). I was very excited since I've never done cartoony stuff seriously before, and after watching How to Train your Dragon several times, I was really pumped for this.

    These characters took 4-5 weeks to develop and approximately 3-5 hours each to render, the progress can be seen here on my blog. There is no 3d, only a few pieces of photos (on the clothing, look closely!) for some instant-realism-in-a-can.
