I did both the design and the model.  This has a rather unconventional texture layout to simulate how the character's gear might be split up.  Presuming the textures would be combined into a 1k map, the remaining 512 area could be used for other items such as a cape, helmet, etc.

    You have quite the talent with making low poly models look AMAZING.
    is there a particular technique you use to get this effect?
    I'm.. sort of looking into 3d modelling myself, and I'm looking for pointers.

      Thanks. This is a diffuse only model which means that most of what you see on the model must be painted in without relying on lights or fancy shaders to help you out. It's really just a matter of getting to know painting, and knowing what to emphasize to make things work from a distance.

    Woow amazing work..and I would like to know, well.. if you don't mind.. how can I split the unrap like you did?

      Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean. There isn't really anything special about how this model was unwrapped other than placing the UVs of certain parts into specific areas on the texture space. You can almost think of it as 3 separate 512 textures that are combined.
