    Artist's Comments

    Red Knights concept for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland".
    The challenge was to create something that in a way resembles the shape of the characters in the original book illustrations but also works in a life action movie.
    So I had to move away from the simple flat card and give it more weight and functionality.

    I highly recommend the Art of Alice book "Alice in Wonderland: A Visual Companion", it's 256 pages packed with concept art and behind the scenes photos from the movie.

      I went to see the movie after seeing the 'card' design in the advert. It sold the film to me. 5*
