Perfect!
Beautifully painterly. Which brushes have you used?
I pretty much use the Photoshop defaults and modify as needed, I dont have a particular set that I use. Same with Painter. Sorry for the lame answer but I haven't really explored the whole brush thing. One of my favorite brushes though is the plain old square brush!
Really? The Square brush? I try to avoid it because it leaves a nasty pixellated edge for the most part..maybe I should try it out? I'm still fairly new to digital painting...if you dont mind me asking, in what method do you use it? transparencies over transparencies? Or do you just have a really high resolute image to begin with?
Boy.. there's a whole blog post right there.. how do I create these images! It depends.. I started out as a photographer and so initially used a lot of my own photos and comped them together, eventually increasing the painting to photo ratio. For me the important thing is the lighting and correct balance of colour (dont always succeed of course..). What brush strokes happen, happen. How I get to my result is almost irrelevant to me. If a certain brush looks wrong, I'll try a different one, throw over some texture etc until it looks right.. I hope that answers your question!Check out my blog and go to the very first posts and you'll see how I started creating these sort of images!
