    Sketched on paper then scanned and painted .

      its awesome, can you just tell me what brush you use for this effect ? for the monster, and what version of painter do you use ?

        hey mate, sorry, must have missed your comment, thanks a lot. I used Painter 9 for this, and the brushes are actually a couple of spatter brushes and a watercolour brush from the original painter set, used in conjunction with a "pavement" effect paper texture. the leaves were a "stamped" using a leaf texture brush created by a mate of mine, and painted over afterwards. thanks for your comment!       I love the feeling that I get from this image, it's a storybook feel that is hard to capture.  Great work!
