Wanted to try my hand at a slightly more "realistic" painting.
I wanted to go outside of my comfort zone. Someone with a different
shaped face and features and with a different skin tone. It was great
practice.
I love Disney's Pocahontas movie. Pocahontas and
Ariel were my inspirations to draw the crazy hair that I'm known for in
my artwork. And this scene in the movie (it's also the cover to the
soundtrack - which I listed to pretty much the whole time painting
this) is one of my favorites.
