Just a question. I try to practice drawing without reference an I study Andrew Loomis at the moment. How did you manage to bring your drawings to such a good level (I guess by producing hundrends of them)? Do you use Loomis technique to draw them in varius poses and angles?
Hi there, first: Thanks for this question. I love sketching, the classic way, digitally - when i have free time, i just doodle anything that can come to mind - faces, characters, props, environments, anything. No colors, just lines. It's relaxing. I've read some of the Loomis books, they are great and i guess i've learned a lot from them. But the biggest impact on my current drawing style is the practice, a LOT of practice. I can't say that i use any of his techniques, but he helped me to develop my own style.
