    I don't often paint mythical subjects but this one has somehow stuck to my memory and wouldn't let go. It was greatly inspired by Charles Napier's painting with the same title.
    Although after repainting the male character over a dozen times, I am glad it is over. I have to move on...

        That may well be. Painting male characters is not my strongest part. I have to admit, there is room for improvement, but I am trying. Thank you for the coment.
        I'll take your guidance. Perhaps you can point out what areas I can improve upon.

          I just found it odd, really. I mean, his skin tones are a lot more muddy an his anatomy is ill-defined like you're not sure where exactly a muscle should go. I was wondering if you had a really good reference for the female and just couldn't find one for the male?
