Exercise on surface variation ..playing with HD sculpting a feature that I have neglected...

Image was based/inspired by one of Alexleias works, really like how he breaks up his surfaces

    Katonc Thx dude - yeah avoided alphas as the HD workflow felt clumzy enuff for me
    basically just went in with the dam standard and laid down a ruff temp pattern over the sculpt making sure things ruffly looked in scale ( as HD allows only for small sculpting areas) :[
    Then used Trim, Dam, inflate brushes to refine the scales with a higher HD subdiv ..... and the Slice brush for the finer cuts
    Found subdivin your base mesh to around 2.5 mill before addin HD gives you a bigger area to work with in HD and makes it a little less painful
