    Manned combat exo-suit designed to leap a distance of five to eight miles. Equipped with four stabilizing engines to navigate while airborne and compensate so each landing is level. Large thrusters on the rear along with powerful spring loaded legs propel the Roach above the battleground where it can attack with a release of cluster bombs and rapid fire Gatling gun. Has been known to land on fools.

      Hey Matthew! Love this concept and execution. Just saw your article in 3D Artist #50 and would love to recreate your cover wireframe settings. Here's the rub - i'm using Mental Ray for Maya, and can't figure out how to do 2-sided that respects self shadowing, final gather, etc. Do you know any equivalent translation from 3ds MR settings to Maya MR settings? Thanks!

        Hello Steve! Thank you for the comments. Honestly, I haven't used Maya in several years and I'm hesitant to give any hunches that may be waaaaay outdated. I have some friends at the studio that are Maya gods and I'll ask them on Monday to see if I can muster a clear answer. I'll forward you the info to your CGhub account.
