This is a great piece with lots of intricate details, concept and mood. However it loses the potential "epic" feel by lighting and eye movement. My eyes are constantly being drawn to the background on the left instead of the ship and city on the right. It would have been better to have dark skies on the left background with bolts of lightning filling the "dead space" and casting light on the ship. There is also the lack of real action in the piece. Maybe the ship is on fire and that smoke is not just from operation but the viewer can't see any arcs of fire in the sky, falling from the ship, or any contention of the object (ship) with it's surroundings. Fantastic work on details and "believability" though.
