I have to admit I'm extremely disappointed by the outcome, I just have to say this because frankly just saying I agree with the decision of the judges would be a complete lie from my part, while I think all of the contestants did the very best they could do, if the contest was to get a close to the illustration I very humbly have to say I got very VERY close to it, I don't know how objective I am but i welcome any person that sees this comment to look at my entry and let me know if I was or not close to the reference illustration given, I also think I did a good job expression wise and anatomically wise.

Right now I just feel extremely disappointed that all the effort and sleepless night I put into this, and all the time I spent getting the sculpture as close as I could to the ref was wasted, if you would have wrote on the contest rules that the second and third places would gotten em by straying form the concept then I would made my own interpretation of the illustration not adhering my self as closely as I could, and maybe I would have won second or third place, I agree Nandlaskar sculpture was very close to the concept ill say as close as mine, but as it right now I feel punished for spending time trying to adhere to the contest rules, more so Nandlaskar already has a name in the industry while I'm just a new comer and while he did deserves the first price he needs the exposure much less that my self considering that after objectively seeing the source illustration his and my work we both have the same level of detail I find this quite heart braking.

      I agree.

Your level of detail, especially on the wings, is much better.
