Wow that is one impressive painting, it immediately caught my eye. Love the sense of light and shadow and those muted, subtle colours. You totally conveyed the mood and atmosphere of a hot summer noon / afternoon. And it is interesting, how much character you gave these ladies. To me it also seems like the addition of the cat is an important part in their characterization.
