In my free time between school, work, and commissions, I played through Batman: Arkham Asylum for the first time, and found it really fantastic. I loved learning about all of the Batman villains which I didn't know too much about before; it was very intriguing and inspiring. While playing, I had a tendency to draw some sketches of a villain whenever I learned about them in the game. Hence this painting of Victor Zsasz.

I love the idea of a psychopath that carves a tally mark into his body whenever he murders his victim, so I really enjoyed working on this one. The initial sketch I did while playing the game can be seen here on my facebook:

I want to eventually turn all of my batman villain sketches into fully-rendered paintings when I have the time.

Painted in one night plus a few hours, using no references. Let me know what you think, and keep watching for other Batman villains!

Oh, and one of the commissions i'm working on at the moment has to do with a Batman hero. And it's not batman, robin, or cat woman. Just to give a little hint. ;)
