I was responsible for making Atom's gloves functional for the animatronic puppet. This included rebuilding the pieces originally made by Ian Joyner so there was no intersecting and breaking off each joint so it could function as well as texturing the gloves to match the maquette.

The rest of the puppet was done by all the talented people at Legacy Effects. Seeing 8 foot tall robots is actually pretty cool...

Nice. Did you use Magics to work the fits? I use FreeForm for all of my joints and stuff...different scale but in principle kind of the same I guess. Done digital for big CNC milled stuff but nothing this cool. awesome work.

At the time, we didn't have magics, so all the keys and joints were polymodel'd in on all the pieces on all the robots. Both the male and female sides, it was a major pain. After that project, we learned about magics and have been using it. Fantastic software.

      Thanks!
