This is another piece in which custom brushes really dictate and lead an image through to the end. I love being able to blend the abstract with realism, as I tried to do here:) If any of you want to learn to make brushes in this manner, I highly recommend David Levy's 'From Speedpainting to Concept Art' dvd produced by the Gnomon School of visual Effects.

    Haha, I was gonna say, this reminds me a little of levy's work, and then I read your description. It's cool, it does look really quite otherwordly, and I love your subtle variations of colour.
    Two things bug me a little...I think the main s tructure could be a little better integrated with the surrounding. And the palm on the very left seems somewhat massive to me. Haha, but that is probably just my weird me.

    good stuff in any case!
