Artist's Comments

It's a cruel world for those poor women, who have to deal with contemporary ideals, nesting itself much like a bad growth into the minds of some. In an effort to allow a little bit of a transcendence, this idea virtually grew out of the old woman's head. Like with most of my images I don't necessarily preconceive a motive, but rather let things evolve and suggest their own directions.

    Read the Comment again, where I've tried to carefully explain it. I may have written it with a bit higher demands from a reader, so here's a simple version: THE PEOPLE TODAY GET SOLD ON IDIOTIC IDEAS ABOUT HOW TO LOOK IN ORDER TO HAVE ANY VALUE. OLD WOMEN MUST SUFFER MORE THAN EVER. This picture shows these stupid fake ideals as a cancer-growth, a brain-tumor, growing out of an old woman's head! And take a close look at the breasts and notice the BIG FRIGGIN' SCARES, please! Do you know what "augmented" means? Check on Google, please, and type this into the search: "define:augmented"

    And, Stacy, love yourself as a human being and eat more cautiously. Not less, but more clever! No Burgers, no fries, no heavy cheeses! Eat fish, veggies, fruit. Cut down on milk products! Don't let anyone support your unhealthy habits! It's not about hope, it's about you just loving to be!

    Hmmm Very well composed and the talent here is amazing. But I'm curious - What is the message of this? That every fat girl wants to be a thin chick with fake breasts? lol Because as a big girl myself I know that definitely isn’t true.
