Both automotive and Sci-Fi: the idea behind the supporting legs is that the vehicle could adjust itself to extreme gradients in the terrain keeping the chassis level thus offering greater control, the legs could stretch out; lowering the height of the car.

The wheels within the legs can rotate on their axis making it possible for the legcar to slide sideways into a parking spot.
these wheels could also rotate while driving allowing for some
extremely agile movement.
