This is my personal vision of the Rumanian writer Ian Luca Caragiale, painted for the next exhibition of portraits in the 100th conmemorative year of Caragiale in Romania. The alike is not exactly but it doesn´t matter, because the really important is that each artist gives their personal vision of the character. The only identificative signs are the glasses and the moustache. In this case, I wanted to represent the importance of his cutural legacy with the intelectual look of the character, in reflective pose. In the technical aspects, as usual, I used several groups of layers for the different plains of the picture, even in the hair, and standard brushes for all the tones and the game of lights and shadows in a chiaroscuro inspired in the Baroque classical portraits.
