    What to look for: Mount Rushmore, the bald Eagle, the shepherd's staff, the bible, "Bread and Circus" represented by bread and a Gladius (the Roman sword), the Wriststrong, "sweetness" (his gun), the halo is a $1 coin with the text "Holy Truthiness of America". The sheep are marked with the initials of some states.



    History:



    I did this piece originally for the Colbert portrait gallery contest, but I didn't follow the rule 100% because Colbert is supposed to be saluting (army-like). However, in my case, it wouldn't have made any sense, Colbert being a saint and holding the flag instead, and I thought that it might make a better piece anyway.



    I submitted it a few weeks ago, and it hasn't shown up in their gallery, while other pieces have. So I am assuming that it was rejected.


    Let it be a lesson for all: it is their right and it was my decision.

      well, I think you made the right decision - if they don't like it - screw 'em! (politely), You might not win their contest, but you did the piece you wanted to do:)
