A commissioned piece; I was asked to paint a family portrait based upon
some character concepts the client provided. I wanted the feel of the
image to be quite iconic, so I placed them in a setting that would help
highlight this. The environment was easily the most challenging aspect
of the image, but it was a lot of fun bringing it to life. I also
worked at an insanely high resolution for this piece, which allowed me
to get a rich, detailed look. The only downside was that it took much
longer to finish than the norm, but it was well worth it.
