Not a huge update, but I spent all day breaking in painter 12 in every possible way I could think of. I at first hated painter way back when I first tried it, but after stressing all the settings and going through each brush and becoming familiar with it it's actually very fun to use.
April 6: This is a gift for a friend I was playing TERA with today. We hosted a little guild contest and winner got a character sketch. This is a concept portrait for my Dead Rabbit project. Tomorrow going to do some sketches of the area get some life studies going.

Here is today's update.Tomorrow will be a rather large one of sketches I've been doing for the past few days once I get a hold of a scanner at work.
A Live figure painting I was working on this week, done in water mixable oils on canvas. I need to take a better picture of it An illustration I'm working on for my personal project.

Hmm well I can post a few step-by-step things. Generally best way I can describe it is that it's crosshatching.
Todays update: April 18th: A character portrait concept for my personal project: A bit of a joke with EME devs and pencil sketches/studies:

So I sat down went through every single brush and setting in Painter 12 this week. a lot more in it then I thought(brushes alone were a bit crazy). Also finished a recent commission which I'm going to use to purchase myself a god flatbed scanner with this weekend, be a lot better than going in to work/school to scan stuff.
Anyway a couple of things that popped out from random strokes figuring out all the settings:

i love seeing your art. I love the character in that 1st drawing, and how loose your approach is. Your characters in general look pretty great. That cave sketch seems a little odd to me though. Like im not sure what that blue light reflection is on that wall? so its a little confusing to read at 1st. I think the hanging (what are they called? hanging/ceiling rocks?) look good and make a key indication of what the scene is.
