hey dude. ill admit that is an AWESOME painting/study. And this is exactly why you should post your progress in the the other thread to share with every one. So it still doesn't qualify as is. And also make to sure to read this, to check that you arent breaking any of these rules either, http://cghub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6960. If traced and color picked :/ its not exactly fair to the rest of us.
Not saying you did or didnt trace haha, but you gotta know how suspicious it looks to post a flipped painting of an exact photo study in a finals thread with out sharing the process first.

The pixels match up almost perfectly with the reference on everything except the feet and the top of the hair...which were pasted separately from the main body.
I'm not really seeing the painting here past the background since the figure seems to have been copy and pasted.
And if you zoom in there's a faint trace of the necklace in the painting that's in the exact same area as the reference..looks like its been filtered over...Or it could just be an amazing coincidence.

        All the entries look great

Agree with Immubo- you can definitely see the trace of the necklace along her neck that has been filtered over.. and the final painting is way too uncannily accurate to the original- such as the outline of the form- and the reflection of light on her lower half. I appreciate participating in these challenges but I agree this should be about drawing/painting/and learning rather than photo manipulation.

          Hey guys,

The issue has been talked about with Leonzilla privately and does not need anymore comments about it.

For future challenges, I will be expecting all participants to show at least some of their WIP to avoid any of this happening again, which has caused a bit of a stir, more than I would've wanted on my first challenge.

I would appreciate if we leave the matter as it is and focus going onward, as SCWatson mentioned, the voting poll is just an extra to the challenges, as the main principle has and will always remain being to learn and forge a growing community of artists.

Let's please stop pointing fingers on this matter, which has been taken care of privately and maybe join us for the next challenge?
