BACKGROUND NOTES: Feel free to get creative with the costume design on this one. The thumbnail image for this challenge (Norman Rockwell's Riveter for the Washington Post) is a great image to provide inspiration, but make the design your own. It is a fantasy setting generally speaking so you may make some bold color/clothing construction choices to make the design more fantastical.

Hm, steampunk is in no way my strong side, so I think I might give this one a try.

Hey guys, heres a quick sketch of the uniform design for my Cora.
Spent the whole weekend traveling and in classes so I had to resort to le olde traditional pencil and ink for this WIP :P
Did a couple of thumbnails also and did a quick study for the eyes.
Any suggestions or crits are very much welcomed.

@Veras: Love the sketches so far and I like the style you're handling, I'm quite interested in seeing where you're going with your concept

@HyunjaeLee: Brilliant, I just love the attitude on the last Cora you skecthed, the big brawly one, and somehow makes me think you could explore a bit of the SC2 Marine armor on her. I think a cool concept could really pop out from it, keep the good work!

@Sorknes: Kudos to you for coming out of your comfort zone, rest assured you will lear a lot by doing so! I feel that your character somehow needs a bit more of an extra punch, more specifically I believe you could use a bit more of exxageration overall. Maybe reinforcing her expression, give her the "I'm in charge here" look on her face and maybe get some really crazy ideas on her costume design. Google a bit on steampunk, take a dive into the kind of stuff that is usually used in steampunk costumes, etc. (Goggles, for example never miss) I think that by going way out of the box can greatly improve your design

Finally got to digital for a while, here's a quickie taking my first thumbnail idea. I'm not entirely sure I got the posture right, it might need a little fixing. Please feel free to paint over or suggest in any way

            I'm in too

I'm quite undecided about costume but I had in mind exactly the character so I started sketching something but I finished with...an half naked Cora
From now on I'll play like girls with dolls, trying dress and props.
