              Talking Unicorn idea Board

              Unicorn / day 1

Unicorn? Sounds interesting. I have no expectations of gaining anything from this but I love me a little competition.

First time participating, I hope I'll not mangle anything.

This is my idea board for the challenge, not the best quality of lightening, I appologize but it is too big for my scanner. I added a quick doodle done on my tablet.

              Beware, 'My little Unicorn'!

I like to draw what comes to mind after thinking about what I want in general terms, then pin the sheet to the wall above my work station. It helps me keep track of ideas and not get lost in details.
I'll decide on scenery tomorrow or later today and do a rough sketch of what I want exactly.

Question: Can we draw more than one unicorn in the same image?

                  Default New!

                  Hi all,

New here to CG Hub! I am a graphic designer by trade who has always wanted to get into digital painting as I love the medium and the power of imagination. I was looking for a forum that I could join in drawing jams and learn from peers, and CG Hub seems perfect. All the previous jams I've scanned through are so inspiring. I hope to become an active member here on out.

Question: What sort of canvas sizes are you working at for a typical digital painting? Just an approximate place to get me started for jams, as I know if you'd like to paint a portfolio piece I'm sure you'd be working at a much larger size.

Thanks and any tips & tricks are always appreciated!

                    Welcome to the hub Metabolism!

I usually work at 11 x 17 300dpi due to may comic book drawing days. However for this challenge I will probably work at 4000 x 4000 300dpi to take advantage of all the space I can.

Metabolism: I normally start on something close to A4 at 300dpi for doodles then take it up abit depending on what I am doing. You can always shrink but its much harder to make images bigger.

Ended up drawing something for this jam today, even though I should have been doing other things D:
