Great response this time around guys the more the merrier!!!

bzartt-Great start its been awhile since I played that game so im not sure I remember it but, its a great design so far only thing that kinda bothers me is it seems the crater looks as if it should be angled more, and look more elliptical? If you understand what im saying? but other than that great stuff and can't wait to see more of it!

The crater was indeed too round, the blocky canvas also increased that look.

Still working on the light and the walk to the end stage.

Well I really would like to keep this a fan art round and would like to stick with the whole 'redesign' aspect of it. So im going to have to say respectively no to this one jose sorry

So i picked one of my favorite games of all times... Soul Reaver/ Legacy of kain.... i think my favorite series...
anyways.... here is some sketches...
i think im more for #4 down...

JoseVega: I Personally think your 3rd looks cool, you should combine that one with the 5th and also keep the atmospheric light since the 3rd one doesn't have that.

Moon- I love Chrono Trigger, and I'm glad someone is doing Lavos!
bzartt-Great changes you made to the final painting, and good luck!
jose- I like the thumbnails; 3 and 5 definitely stand out the most (sadly I only played Soul Reaver once).

Here is my latest process. I've done a number of thumbnails to explore interesting shapes. It's for the Rex vs Snake fight. I'll not be showing Rex, only hints of him so it won't look like fan art in my portfolio.

There is a little green rectangle in the upper right while you are posting. It has a pull down menu you can use to select which image goes full size at wherever your cursor is at that time. (It automatically supplies the right BB code to full size the image).

Hey!
I used to play a lot on the Nintendo nes when i was younger. Loved those old games. Milon's Secret Castle was impossible because you had to finish it in one go.
