@dakkon:
Thanks for the praise man! I must say i am loving the stylistic choice you've made on your gargoyle. Very orcs must die :P I especially like the pronounced silhouette on the horns. Your poly painting also looks super good. Two suggestions, I would take a little time grounding some of the smaller spikes into the skin. Right now they seem a little floaty. I love the ankylosaur tail with club. I would also give that spot some loving by hardening up the edges and really defining those shapes. Especially since this is a major character bit. Overall strong work! I can wait to see him posed!Also glad you like pointpusher i always await with great anticipation to see what cool suff he puts out next. @edgar_marocsek Thanks man! I am glad you like! Alright now to the business: I went ahead and gave him some cracked rock plates. I really wanted it to feel like these were a thin layer cracked and flaking off from his movement. I did some more render comps and i think i finally have the feeling I am looking for. it's simple but the rim lighting and the other matcap layers really help drive him home a little more. I also lost the fog since it really just killed the overall contrast. I think I am going to call it unless there is a major glaring issue. All in all it was a great challenge. Alot of amazing works going on in this house! Keep it up guys! We are almost there. Higher res and more angles at the blog again. http://bolzart.blogspot.com/ ![]() ![]() ![]() |
