Hi there, here's the first look from my illustration for this challenge

The arrows show me the direction of the light.

The next step is the coloring.

Really nice black/white study. She is turning out great so far!

Great tone study! Very good sense of lighting and pose (expecially the girl!), and i like the way you focused the attention on the girl with the more intense lighting on her.
I think that there is almost no pure black in the tones, and this makes the scene seem to be in the mist, it gives mood and depth to the picture!

I think you could improve the beast's face, it doesn't look very "tridimensional" if compared to the other objects in the scene, i don't know exactly why.

One of my favourite 2d entries!
