Also Sculptris, that is a free sculpting app as well now associated with Pixologic, you can retop the final in your app of choice, Mine is topogun. You can even desimate the mesh to make it less taxing on your pc when your done. You can also paint in that app as well, although I never used it.

Heres my concept for this challenge - Aim was to explain the myth of the Mermaid as a creature which had gained the ability to mimic a beautiful women on the top side, while on the bottom it was a gruesome monster, in order to lure seamen close or into the water. It was pretty hard trying to combine the two elements together into something readable. Anyway this is just a concept for now, I think its looking a bit to stiff and inorganic...

![]() Concept 2 - Not as brave as concept one, but definately reads better and makes more sense. I'd like to have 3 of these mermaids somehow in the composition luring 2 seamen in the water, one is reaching for the main mermaid, the other one perhaps trying to fight the other mermaids off with the ore. Pretty complicated piece, but I will focus on the scene as a whole rather then the individual creatures I think. |

mayanew~yours is a bit further along. what will you do next on this? I can see a few areas for where you can push the detail, but its pretty close to starting your polishing pass. Try texturing it as well.
dr3w~ you need to start defining areas of your fish to help it stand out more. at this point its in a very blocked in stage. |

I am also sort of new to this forum but from what I saw in previous challenges you post all of your work in progress (WIP) shots in this thread (mandatory), after that there is going to be a "Finals" thread created by the moderator kryssman where you will post your final image on a given due date. Pretty simple if you ask me. Hope that helps!
