So I finally discovered the pressure curve adjustment thing for my Cintiq, and what an awsome discovery it is... But the bad new is that my driver keeps crashing now. Following is the detail. Any suggestions on how to fix this or even a recommendation on wich cintiq driver version to use will be much appreciated
I recently changed the pressure curve of my Cintiq pen by editing the Wacom_Tablet.dat file. Everything works fine for about 5-10 minutes and all the sudden the driver crashes. If I try to start the Wacom Tablet Properties app, I get this error message: THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND. However, in Device Manager, all 3 Wacom related devices (Wacom HID Digitizer, Wacom HID Pen, Wacom Virtual HID Driver) are shown to be working properly. Furthermore, the TabletServiceWacom service is still running. Rebooting the system fixes it and I'm good to go for another 5-10 min
If I'm using Sketchbook Pro instead of Photoshop, I can see the driver failing and recovering (the error message flashes real fast) instead of completly crashing.
Following is my system spec:
- Windows 7
- Cintiq 21UX with driver 6.1.7 (newest one as far as I know)
- Photoshop CS5
- Sketchbook Pro 2011
