Thanks Frank! Though I probably have it easier than you, since right now I'm in spec so I don't have other classes that get in my way (except for a retake once in a while, haha).. At least you're still drawing/painting all day at the atelier, right?

Had to spend last week on a retake so drawing was put on the backburner for a while... Trying to catch up with last week's work but a lot of things are getting in the way, haha.

Here's something that I did without ref for once, practicing keeping it somewhat rough still and seeing how much of those anatomy studies stuck with me.

Posting a backlog again... I'm starting to forget to post daily more and more!

Some pose sketches by heart again, some composition studies and some silhouette studies. I was supposed to do 4 pages but I felt like I was repeating myself so I'll just catch up with one page of something else, to keep the quantity there at least (or if you guys have any tips on other uses of silhouettes, I'd really appreciate it). The silhouettes with an "R" beside them are referenced, by the way. I'll have some color studies to upload later today (if I don't forget...)

Value study for today: C.S. Pearce - The Death of the First Born

Work from yesterday and today: one last value study (painting by John Singer Sargent) and a start for this week: experimenting with different kinds of lighting, using previous sketches as a base. The lighting sketches were pure imagination, I'm probably going to use a bit more reference from now on since I'm still having a hard time figuring out where the light should hit for certain surfaces.

Well first, I have a little request: I'm currently looking for participants in a super short questionnaire.

At the moment I'm busy with my 4th year of college, and I'm working on a graduation project (the drawings in this thread are all related to that project). Part of this project is collecting data through a questionnaire on image composition, the results of which will be part of a paper I'm currently writing.
