Balrog

Deadline: 28th of November 2011 at noon GMT

Balrog

The Nameless Terror residing in the Misty Mountains. The Balrog is a creature of darkness and fire. Most of us have seen the movie adaptation of it, I reckon a fair few of you have read the books. Draw us a Balrog.

This can be a stand alone illustration (perhaps baby Balrogs

) or a scene from the book or movie if you wish.

Please only enter art that is done for this challenge, if it was started before this challenge began it was not eligible.[/b]

@seanmcclain dam such an expressinve n nice start bro! i cant for the life of me imagine how this will end up with all though interesting shapes in there!

Heres a first sketch up, i started off as a concept trying to think of a cool balrog design, n then i kinda added the scene, and now i realised i should just left it as a concept and did the scene seperatly cos it lack and dynamism at all

...theme speaks to me well, a desire to participate in my first challenge, here's my entry.
My first phase of work was in Alchemy, then MyPaint and Photoshop....

So expressive works! I like LOTR and Balrog one of my favorite characters.

I think Balrog was the inner part of Gandalf, his potential but uncontrolled
