Default Maya Character Rigger/Animator needed for freelance work (San Francisco, CA)

    Hello,

Funk1ind is a very very small San Francisco based start-up that is in the early stages of creating an adult animation that is heavily influenced by the look and feel of Japanese Anime.

Currently, we are looking to fill one Rigger/Animator position. You must be located in the SF Bay Area. Initial jobs will be short term, "work for hire" contracts with a possibility for a longer term arrangement depending upon your ability to fulfill short term contracts with quality and integrity.

Short term contract work will be freelance in nature. You will work from home and receive and provide files through our production software/file transfer site. One weekly Sunday meeting will be required.

    Position requirements are as follow.

    3D Rigger/Animator:

    *Responsibilities:*

-Rig/animate high poly characters created by our character modeler.
    -Finish tasks by assigned date.
-You *MUST* be able to work from provided concept pieces, storyboards and animatics.
-You *MUST* be able to meet *EVERY* Sunday night at 7:30pm. This is non-negotiable as it is one of the only times the whole group can meet.

    *Requirements:*

-Proficient in Maya (rigging/animating) (no 3dsmax/Blender/Lightwave/etc)
-Able to rig and animate high poly characters and objects. THIS IS NOT A GAME WE ARE MAKING!
-The ability to take constructive criticism and work with others in a
    production pipeline.
-At least 2 years professional studio experience or 4 years freelance work. (If your portfolio/reel blows us away, we may be persuaded to wave this)
-A solid online portfolio with a variety of examples.
    -An eternal love of animation.
    -A creative and active imagination

    *Bonus:*

    -Martial Arts experience
    -Lover of Anime.
    -Previous experience in film.

When replying, please send us a copy of your resume (pdf/doc) and post a
    link to your portfolio.

Again, this is not a game we are making. This is high poly work. If you have no experience rigging or animating high poly, please do not reply.

More information about the project and how to contact us can be found at our website. No post count means we cannot post a link to our site. Our website is just our company name. Hope to hear from you.

Default character set up artist(Rigger)/Scripter,hair/fur,cloth and tech animator

      Hi,

I have been in this industry for eight years and during that time, was successful in contributing to the
Character Rigging process, Hair,Fur, Cloth for various International projects.I recetly worked with an US
based Video gaming company.I did modelling, texturing, rigging and animation for them.
Also worked on troubleshooting for animation, lighting and rendering .For facial expressions, I used
The Face Machine on rigs, which reduced the modelling efforts considerably.
They were very happy with my job.

I would like to describe myself as an experienced 3D Technical Artist, but I would benefit the team best
in areas of Rigging, Technical Animation,Tool Development and R & D for all departments in a CG
Production Pipeline for feature film,TV series. Coming from an Engineering background,
my passion for art and movies urged me to pursue a career in animation. Having started my career as a Rigging Artist,
I have extended my skill set in areas including Task Automation and Tool Development in scripting languages like MEL and Python.

My objective is "creativity and expressiveness are not limited by technical issues"

I would be happy to work onsite / remotely.

Please kindly go through my show reel on below path:

I can show you my recent dynamic work too on skype.

Looking forward to hear from you.
