@Kovah: Reworked the composition at a slightly higher angle above ground. I'm switching up the kinetic position, since I find a loss of balance a little more hilarious on that "Asian bathroom squat" position.

Big problem being the way it looks NOW is definitely way off. I'm gonna have to take a reference photo or hack away at the figure until it looks right in just the pose at least.

rework the idea and try to fit a more dynamic/storytelling perspective.

im not completely sure how a soldier is defined here.. everyone with some kind of weapon? so would for example a troll spearman fit the theme?? silly question probably, but the entries (great ones!) are making me unsure :S

yeah I'd say anyone, or anything that could possibly be defined as, or evoke the idea of a soldier - literally and metaphoricaly
