      DETAIL DETAIL DETAIL DETAIL DETAIL

Detail is similar to Dakka in that we always need more Dakka.

I started over on the background lineart, going with something that is a bit art-deco inspired.

I can see little wonky bits that are asymmetrical so I think I may have to do this over, and work out a better way of measuring things out.

One thing that pleases me, though, is that studying the underlying patterns of ornamental architecture has made it easier to generate this sort of thing from imagination without having to look at reference.

No I'm not dead, but I am under a bit of a deadline. So in the meantime with what little time I have, I am still practising botany drawing.

I kind of wish I handled this a bit more crisply - but it's definitely a good challenge to paint intricate objects. It's a nice change from all the figure and face drawing.

Sorry I haven't been able to draw/post much - lots of deadlines at work rolling in. So I finally had a few hours to doodle something.

                  Sorry been away so long.

Anyways, messed around with my wacom driver and made a better angle control for a flat brush tool.

Here it is in action. (using a photo ref, of course)
