@ Cursed: It's a little bit centered, I mean in terms of where the major vertical elements are placed. That will make for a static feeling composition. Offsetting the major vertical element to one of the third lines is a way to give it a more dynamic feel, as though the viewer is actually walking right into the scene. Good foreground, middle ground, and background divisions. There is a sense of large scale.
Here is what I have so far.

A space backdrop on a moon-like world is my fall back position. I intend to fill some other areas of the composition with some flying things. The upper right intersection of the thirds is a place I can have a flying thing coming for a landing toward one of the towers.
I have an environmental program coming on UPS ground probably tomorrow that can make stupendous sky domes, mountains and the like. I thought about making the towers sticking up out of a sea with some wavelets ranging out into the distance in about the lower third and just use sunset clouds for a lot of the interest in the picture. The lighting on these towers is as though a bluish sun is setting at the lower left intersection of the thirds. Much depends on how quickly I can install and learn the rudiments of the new program. I can make a moon surface or an ocean in my existing software without too much trouble. The towers themselves I already have saved as a hi-res .png with transparent background but I just gave you guys a lo-res WIP on a black background. I will probably go back to the towers and put the lights on them and put in the flying things in 3d and re-render them to make sure cast shadows and local lighting effects look right.

In your posting window there is a little black paper clip on a green square in the upper right. Clicking there lowers a pull down menu of all the attached images you uploaded with Attachment Manager. Selecting one of the images places that image where your cursor is.
