Cursed, Great start! i prefer the left one aswell, a good tip is that for environments its easier if you start with a hard brush and then soft it as you go, at the moment it could be even more easy to read due if certain parts of the focus would be harder
Vaejoun, A lot better now! I got some suggestions, so instead of writing huge text, i did a paintover which is more accurate . some of the things i did was: 1- soften the sides of the building in front of us (it was too sharp and out of focus). 2- Give a blue washout color to the hall, outside in front of us is a very hot and warm wether, so wherever you're inside it will became alot more desaturated and some parts reflect the sky color, so the result would be blue somewhat a bit saturated here and there. 3- Changed the color of the door too a variation of red/orange/yellow, so that it wouldn't be the same as the outdoors lightning. 4- Add more tall buildings in the background can give alot of depth. 5- Adding more details on the building in front of us, it was too empty 6- Sharpeded the end of the hall, this creates and illusion that what's outside is more in depth and we're inside its closer. 7- I would still add stuff lying aroundin the floor, people walking, some birds either flying or sitting somewhere (maybe eating something off the floor). Paintover: Paintover steps: Hope it helps! asahi-superdry-, Aggh super awesome, it tourned out great man!! can't see anything to make it better, good work ![]()

@John Silva: Thanks man, I tried to bring in most of what you said. ( I usually do the edges as the very last step, thats why there isnt much before)
@Alola: nice scenery, pay attention to the darks, I dont think the "dark side" of the stairs would be THAT dark, there is just too much light reflected by the bright ground around. ... Or make the surroundings way darker, like in the 1st ref picture. @Cursed: I like the long narrow way and that strange atmosphere. I think what you need now are 2 things: A good idea of what and where the place actually is, why are there street lanterns, what is that chimney-pipe like thing and so on. the other thing is: Refs. To paint a window, just look out of yours or search for pictzures until you get a nice one. (The thread say we should post refs anyway) Keep it up! So here is my last big step. I went a little tired over the far bg though. ^^

@Parpica: Nice doodle. In the process look out for the VP, right now the one for the windows is way higher than for the doors below.
How about some freaky big pipes going through the bg? Would give its some industrial feel I think.
