Looking good guys -
Look at real world environments, photography, and flora/fauna and use it for inspiration - push the limits of your world. The rules of Earth's atmosphere, gravity, carbon based life forms and general look of terrain no matter where you go IE; Antarctic, Jungle, Plains, Deep Sea, Beach/Coast, Mountains, Caves, Underground, Cliffs, Reefs, Forests, Swamps, Lakes, Rivers, Canyons. These are all great places to start and use for inspiration but ultimately anything goes. So take a look at books or references online and what makes life possible on Earth in a specific location such as the African forests, how species cohabitate, how they use and live within their environment, how the environment has led them to evolve to better adapt to their surroundings and ultimately shaped the anatomy and actions of such species living in that specific region. It all comes together in the end. Though what if the gravity of your planet were 1/3rd that of earth, what if your planet was 10 times the size of Earth, the oxygen levels completely different, the atmosphere, sky, sun, moons all completely changed... How would these things affect the terrain and environment and how would the environment affect the look and habits of the creatures living within? The species on earth are so vastly different from one region to the next, from one animal class and phylum to another though each is dependent on our solar system, our sun, our moon, the temperature and atmosphere. We classify our animals based around a certain set of rules and guidelines to determine if it's a mammal, amphibian, reptile, insect etc. NONE of these need to exist in your world. The skin texture and colors of animals on Earth reflect their surroundings and how they live/hunt/hide - but your world isn't Earth, grass doesn't need to be green, the sky doesn't need to be blue. Just some food for thought.

so I might as well end up doing everything in either pencils or acrilics, as oils would take too long to dry.
