i love the planet, i would suggest one thing tho, it doesnt look 3d at the edges, comes of flat.

if you are using photoshop i would suggest the following extremely quick edit

filter > distort > spherize > close to 100%

done! see if you like those results

@ Darkblade007 - I don't see anything wrong with using photos to help paint and create your planet - as long as it's not just a photo. What you've done is fine. The environmental studies should be painted and/or drawn. Hope that answers your question.

Let me know if you're still unsure.

@ Art_fiend78 - Yes, you must post developmental sketches in this thread to be entered in the finals.

Just finished my planet design(the view from space that is)
took me a while to finish..and i still think i can do more but for now this is what i have. Let me know your thoughts .
