Hmm - I think I like the first one most - has a nice warm/cold color contrast in it.
    Great work, mate!!
    Now - I need more

Hey buddy . sure thing - I've seen it Thanks for that
New update is looking pretty good! Like the colors a lot and the shapes as well.
just some suggestions - hope you don't mind at all…
On the colosseum - I really could see those two round shapes on the ship in a really bright red or orange (straight in your face brightness ) and the house on the foreground (left on image) a bit darker than it actually is.
I think thats all - buddy. But as I said before - GREAT ONES
      Cheers

hey buddy, great update... really liking the last image of the ship, looks very cool... for the coliseum i agree with malo... also maybe incoorporate some color variation thru depth in the image and maybe soften the edges of the ship on the very far away areas so it pushes it back so it shows how BIG it is!!!! great work man! keep it up!

@Cheo : thanx for droppin' by and apreciate, also those are good advices, sometimes difficult to see it by myself ! Being a lonewolf ain't easy man !

Some new sketches of the past few days.
        Basic Sci-fi concepts..doh.

First is an over mountain base structure, I think it's gona be in blue arctic tones...or if you have any colors idea I will take them for sure !

And a random factory desolation city landscape.
Maybe water, ice or desert or even psot apocalyptic greyish enviro.
I always sux making my mind for choosing color mood before entering in the coloring process.

hey man i hear ya!!! i know what u mean, then again thats why we here for (at least for me) you guys are my art friends, dont have more than u guys so, USE US the ebst you can we here ofr each other i believe!
anyways another opinion is try to have less detail the further u have something away from the camera same with contrast. that way you can concentrate on your focal point. last update is looking really good... the first and very last one work good. cant wait for colors man!

if u ever wanna hang im usually on skype so hit it up! laters

@Malo : thanks for the tips bro, and the comments. You'll see I have listened to you. I begin to be a wise man.

@MArc : Funny man ! I'd rather be lazy, I have enough to brush while coloring after. anyway thanx for dropping by ! You know I hate really the round square brush

@Cheo : Colors are coming so don't worry. I know what you feel. This is why also I'm here. Even if we are business "enemies" we have to support each others and make cool contacts. The community here is nicer than the big french one. More humble and cool guys, better communication and exchanges. You know Cheo you're right, I'm trying to lower now some of my HDR levels !
But for being honest with the coloring process I have it's cool cause you can keep on one hand all the details you want, and on the other hand ou can make it almost disappear. This is the balance I'm aiming for, and Sometimes as I'm a speedy man, cause so many years of paper slow drawing, that I can't stand anymore staying 52hours on a painting. This has been to painfull, time and brain consuming. I knwo also a lot about this creepy loneliness feeling. In one way this world is not satisfyin' us and sometimes lot of things ain't feel right, uglyness violence human monkeys and all this kind of fake matrix stuff !

After all those philosophical stoned moments here are my last shots on the current WIP.

Very early shot of the coloring process, just layin' down the basic color mood, I think I'm gona make a blue sky, which I don't do so often.

This one is really advanced, and I wanted to keep it simple. Still need colors and details tweaking, and I'll feel it right.

This one is on its good way, and I've spent not a long time on it, came out really quickly. I have now to think about what kind of refining I'm gona do on it. Lights ? vehicles ? characters ? Plishing also the lightening, some rocks, the mood and maybe I'll made one snowy cloudy version of it, this could be interesting.

The last one is also almost over, still need some tweakings. I take more time today in tweaks than in painting the whole piece, and I love being able to concentrate on something else.

Nice work Kherns, your good at what you do but I can't help but wonder how you would tackle other perspectives. Have you ever tried doing an interior shot or a more up close shot of a particular object?

The random shape technique is great for suggesting detail when the camera is far away but it's really tough to make it work when you're trying to show something in more detail and up close. I think it would be a worthy experiment to try.

Anyway good stuff, keep it up!

@Howie : thanx for dropping by, I think this would work, and you're right as I don't have really particular subjects in my mind, I'm in my comfort zone. Hence if you have a suggestion I'll take it !
