Decided to take part in this one. Would gretly appreciate any critique. Especially on anatomy.
Aaand, I figured i'd go with something non-standard. No doubt, that's not the way of using bowl of water to tell future that administrator had in mind but what the hell :]

@Svartberg, it's all good. These are guidelines anyway.

Your anatomy is actually pretty good, just see some small tweaks that need to be made - I would just reduce the size of her right hand a bit, and enlarge the left hand. Also, move her head back a bit, and lower her left foot so there's more of a perspective at the feet (being that eye level is at her shoulder/head).

I did the character first then started the bg. now i have to blend the 2. also, i should touch up the bg and do more work on the oracle. add something to make her an oracle...

Here's my newest WIP folks. I'm getting excited as I'm completing more and more of these. This will be my third contest entry for the month! Considering before this month, I only participated in about 4 contest in the last 2 years.

c&c please. I changed what she was seated on. I removed her left arm. It just looked silly. I had something in mind, but it didn't work. I'll see what I can come up with.

Are my values right? I see the oracle, rocks and water as foreground. the trees as mid and the sky as bg. Do I have that correct?
Did i seperate them properly? The area where her left arm will go is nothing to remark on. It's just a blob of color that is blending the foreground and midground together. it doesn't look right. Perhaps my values are off?

I cropped it down, and this will probably be my final due to the hurricane. Eventually I will finish the whole piece as originally inteded, but that will have to wait. Good luck everyone! If you happen to be on the east coast like me, stay dry!
