Hey johnchen. the face pose you posted of the boy in the red vest is probably the most natural looking one so far. I'd go with that one.

    Its coming along splendidly!

hmm, I was going for this expression(attachment), I think I will stick with the current one as I already commited to it by texturing the rest of him, thank you for the input tho, appreciate it.

@johnchen I like the first background but i think that maybe he should be looking down or more to the side so that we would appreciate the kid's face better. More like second shot.

Second shot looks good considering the kid's position on it. But i think the kid would die being so deep in the water
Whereas in the first one we can see the surface!

          Default Maximum Security Fortress Crab

So I managed to get in a few hours sculpting today and got the main body of the crab done.
My idea is that these are giant hermit-like crabs that are used to carry maximum security prisons, located deep beneath the sea and constantly changing locations. The crabs exoskeleton is an organic metal like substance which the prison will be anchored in to.
          C&C welcome.
          Thanks

Hey John that skeleton rig along with the XSI/Motionbuilder like synaptic view to the right looks sweet. seeing the red spheres on there I was wondering if that was a scripted skeleton rig that you re-size to fit the character and I was wondering whether it was difficult to characterize that for HumanIK?

hi Horus, the kappa rig was made completely in maya 2012 with humanIK and the HIK skeleton generator. I characterized the skeleton and choose the effector controls ( I think there are 3 diff rig control styles ) This is one of the awesome new features in 2012 suite I found, now HIK works across maya and motionbuilder with the same control interface and FBX Import/export

Hope that answered your question, if not just PM me!
