          Default RhinoMammuth

Allright i finally found some time to work on my entry. I just finished the retopo. Here the first rough version of it.
Later on i'll build some kind of transportation system on top of it. This creature is gigantic. So there's gonna be something like a small house on it.

Quick update. Not sure where i'm going with this guy..
i'm kind of losing my original idea.
I guess i could use some feedback ^^

I'm not sure about the "Evil" look he got. it doesn't really fit the moo moo transport kind of creature i had in mind. Right now he's too much of a war beast. My idea was to put him in a green friendly environment where he would eat some grass (or trees considering his size).
I'll probably have to completely change him or either change my concept :O

Default Here is my start up mesh

Started busting out the main masses of this creature.I want to really portray the weight and the role this character entail. The tank tracks are one of the star attractions that this piece is vybing out.

this being the early stages of my model ,even with the concept i created im still thinking of the texturing solutions that would best suit my character.

@Aeze I think he is looking good, keep going with the concept imo. to make him less warlike you could dress him up with colorful accessories. or soften the muscle mass so theres less definition.

Aeze~ a good way to make something look lumbering and "slow" would be to add weight, hanging body fat and thick skin. use a rhinoceros or an elephant as reference.

also this is good for working on anatomy. when trying to create monsters/ creatures they still have to be able to relate to the viewer (us) so if a leg looks and functions like a leg then its best to get reference of a similar animal that really exists in order to help with the anatomy. get into the habit of always using reference and keeping either on your second monitor or on your desk if you dont have one.

~Everything is looking nice so far! I'm looking forward to how they progress in the last 10 days of the challenge!

keep the momentum going and kick each others asses!

OK! Here is another round of updates. I'm going to have to lock in the boys face as I'm running out of time, I think I have 5 different versions and this one looks the best from the 5 choices... Sculpting that expression is really hard, prob the hardest expression I've tried lol...

I've imported everything into maya now so I'm ready to rig, pose, light and render/comp. should be just on time...
